Selection Interviewing (Two days).

Making sure that the right people are in the right jobs at the right time is a certain recipe for success in any business.  It has often been said that people are any business's greatest asset, and yet many recruiters still fail to find the best people.  Skilful selection interviewing can prevent many of the problems which managers experience with new recruits.  Delegates will learn to create the right job and person specification, and polish their own interviewing skills.  The course evaluates a number of different selection systems and looks at the way in which psychometric tools can aid the selection process.

What the training covers:

  • Specifying the "real" job requirements.
  • Creating a person profile that works.
  • "Essential" or "Nice to have" qualities in an employee.
  • Lies, damned lies and curriculum vitae.
  • Evaluating the selection systems which are available.
  • Examples of psychometric tools and where you fit.
  • Effective selection interviews - practise sessions.
  • Unspoken messages and their interpretation.
  • The basic checks on any applicant.
  • Making sure that it all fits together.
  • The Induction process.

Designed to meet the needs of: Anyone involved in the recruitment process

All our courses and workshops use whole brain learning techniques that produce a relaxed informal atmosphere where delegates learn better and faster. This involves the use of music, games, toys and visual challenges which promote course messages.
